About me
Dr. Huang boasts over two decades of dedicated experience catering to the holistic development of learners, from infants to adults. His educational journey spans across various roles, including teaching toddlers and preschool-aged children, serving as an elementary school teacher, and assuming the position of Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) with a focus on curriculum and second language acquisition.
Driven by a profound belief in growth mindsets and fostering a culture of active learners, Dr. Huang has been an instrumental force in championing equity and diversity. Notably, he contributed to the Conejo Valley Unified School District’s Inaugural Equity Task Force. His commitment to mentorship is evident in his participation in the CALSA Mentoring Program, graduating from Cohort 12. Dr. Huang actively dedicates his free time to serving others, notably through his involvement with the CALSA Mentoring Committee and his collaborative efforts with fellow Asian administrators in establishing the California Association of Asian and Pacifika Leaders in Education (CAAPLE).
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Huang's influence extends to the higher education realm, where he served as an Adjunct Professor in the MAT Program at the University of Southern California. His diverse experiences culminated in being recognized as the 2021 CALSA Statewide Site Administrator of the Year. Currently, Dr. Huang assumes the role of Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Fillmore Unified, continuing his impactful journey in education.
